Media Representation of Female Political Candidates
A research paper conducted for Political Science 405F: Canadian Politics with Professor Gerald Baier. This paper examines the relationship between media representation and female politicians in Canadian government. This paper highlights the ways in which Canadian media entities hold a tendency to represent female politicians in a negative perspective. This project also informed the way in which I write content should I end up providing coverage on Canadian politicians. The frames that journalists evoke in their writing has tangible consequences and the research of this paper can be applied in a political journalistic environment. Overall, the research completed for this showcases my ability to research the Canadian media context and contribute to journalistic research.

Eco-Certification in the Fishing Industry
A research paper conducted on the effects of eco-friendly marine certification for Political Science 463: International Interdependence with Professor Justin Alger. The paper looks at the Marine Stewardship Council and its method for fishing certifications and involved extensive research on current regulations in the fishing industry. This paper introduced me to the intersections between sustainability and policy, and furthered my interests in environmental politics.

Geopolitics of Meat in the Middle East
An analytical paper completed for Geography 329: Political Geography with Professor Philippe Le Billon. The paper looks at how patterns of meat consumption have changed in MENA countries in the past 50 years due to political and cultural changes that have occurred. This research was outside of my usual research interests but highlights my ability to conduct effective research in a wider breadth of political topics.
